Supportive Educational Services, Inc.

SES, Inc. offers a program exclusively designed for students enrolled at Hickory Grove Baptist Christian School. The goal of this program is to assist students, teachers, and parents in meeting the educational needs of children with academic, organization and/or behavior difficulties.

This on-site service includes evaluations and an individualized supplemental program that coordinates with the school's Christian-based curriculum. The educators employed by SES, Inc. are specifically trained to teach students with different learning styles. Kay Headrick, MA, Educational Consultant is available to assist classroom teachers in developing strategies for working with students receiving services.

HGBCS Tutors

At the recommendation of the teacher, parent, and/or administration, a tutor will be available to assist the
student(s) in the area(s) of academic need.
Up to two children of similar academic needs can be tutored at one time. Following is the scale per hour billed by the tutor:
     1 student at a time = $30/hr
     2 students at a time = $20/hr each

The schedule of times and days for tutoring will be worked out among the parents, teachers, administration and the tutor.

The teacher and parent will work closely together to promote the least restrictive learning. If problems continue, the parents, teacher, and administration will discuss further options.
